Good headphones, almost perfect – These headphones were a first for me, I’ve never purchased gaming headphones and wanted to try something for late night Skyrim runs and composing music on my side hobby and test the capabilities of the microphone for video calls. So, my review is going to encompass more than just gaming. The audio frequency is pretty good for the price range. I did a quick test and found that it ranges from around 50 – 15,000 Hz (for reference, the human ear can hear on average a range of 20 – 20,000 Hz). So, not perfect, but pretty good for the price! The polarity between drivers is very good to my hearing, sound can be panned left and right very well to each ear to get a 3-D sound that is more realistic and faithful to real life. The microphone works great for video calls and is crisp and clear. It can pick up lots of outside noises pretty easily though, but that would be the case for any microphone. The cord is made out of nice material that doesn’t tangle easily and resistant to cracking and creasing after use, which is awesome. The fit is very nice, it has large ear muffs and stretches to fit instead of having a strict, set length that you pull it to. I haven’t ever had a headphone like this so the feeling is a little strange at first, but it seems to help them fit better and when I’m sharing them with family the headphones don’t have to be manually adjusted by each person every time so that’s a nifty little feature. The only other gripe I have with them is that when you accidently bump something or graze them with your fingernail they made a loud reverberating metal clanging sound and it can be quite jarring after you’ve been wearing them for a while and suddenly it sounds like a warehouse if collapsing around you. Overall, very please and these are good headphones for a beginner.
