Good for your average laptop, but not the best for heavy duty laptops – This is a decent product. If you own a laptop that ranges anywhere from cheap/old all the way to fairly average by 2020 standards (~2 gHz, 8gb RAM), then this is probably the laptop cooler for you. If you have anything remotely high end that isn’t an Apple device, I would look for something higher quality.

Decent product, would recommend – I bought an Asus Zephyrus M16 a few months ago and this laptop is notorious for getting very hot. I had it sitting on some janky wooden thing I made to lift it off the desk but I remembered that there are specially made cooling pads and decided to buy this particular one. I mainly use my laptop as if it were a desktop, connecting it to a monitor and external keyboard/mouse, so keep that in mind as a use case. This pad was a good choice for that case. It looks much better than my roughly cut wooden stand for one thing. Also I appreciate that it will lift the laptop at an angle and has fan speed control. Judging by watching the temps in Armoury Crate, it doesn’t lower the temperature at all but I do notice that my laptop fans don’t run quite as much. I like to keep this laptop on Turbo mode because it keeps things cooler when idling or gaming but the fans would often kick on pretty heavily even if watching YouTube. It seems sturdy enough too as long as you don’t bump it or try to move it with the laptop sitting on it.

Really helps with overheating – The adjustable heights are easy to use, as is the fan and colored light. It has made a real difference in how often my laptop overheats- it used to do so regularly, and never does now. It was still easy to type on, even when pushed up to one of the heights instead of lying flat. It should be noted that there is a very noticeable, strong chemical smell about it that lasts for at least a week, so anyone who is sensitive to such things is advised to leave it set up somewhere it can air out completely before using it.
