amazing value – This keyboard is an amazing entry level into good mechanical keyboards. It comes with both USB and Bluetooth connection, which is super convenient. There are numerous backlight patterns and colors to choose from. Only downside so far is I haven’t found an easy kill switch for backlight. I have to scroll through each pattern to finally get it off. Great quality. It’s heavy duty and has a wonderful tactical feel. If you want a silent keyboard, it’s not this one.

Fantastic Keyboard – This is a fantastic keyboard. I previously purchased an RK84 but wanted a numpad and some seperation but less than full size. To get the blue keyset on sale it only came with the RK Red Switches, my first linears, and they feel surprisingly nice but are too light for me to type with – I swapped them on the most important keys for Akko Lavenders (pre-lubed, but not sure if it mattered). The keys themselves feel good although they do not let light through the legends, the legends are more clear than other budget keyboards. The stock stabilizers are lubed, but not great – I replaced with Durock plate mounts. This model specifically is a little tough to open up (remove all keys and switches, find the screws, then there are two more under the bi-level feet on the bottom), but besides the stabilizers, there is no need – there is a layer of damping on the PCB and foam in the bottom of the case. Since I had it open, I did the “Tempest” mode with two layers of painters tape, but I would not bother unless I was already taking it apart for something else. I do wish it had the floating option like the RK84, and there are surface imperfections in the black paint of the frame, but this is an excellent value overall.
