Great mouse, so far… – For being just under $20.00 on the current sale, I believe you cannot find a better mouse than this. I have owned an Imperator, a Black Mamba, and a Copperhead in the past; then vowed never to buy Razer again because all ended up with double clicking issues within less than a year with only casual use. I went with a Mionix Avior Pro, only to end with the same issues within the same time-frame as the Razer mice. I then went with a Logitech G303 Daedalus Apex — same shilt. Then it hit me: every one of these mice used Omron switches. I then vowed never to buy anything with an Omron switch. Even my dad’s cheap TECKNET wireless mouse has outlasted the aforementioned ‘pros’. I ended up getting a Redragon M-711 FPS in 2020 because it used an optical switch for clicking, something I had never seen used before in mice. It is still good as new after two years, without any defect or clicking issues. However, I wanted to get a quality compact mouse for my laptop to replace my TECKNET mouse because of its low DPI and its lack of pointer precision. When I saw that this Razer used a good optical sensor and *optical switches*, I knew I had something to fulfill my desire, finally. This mouse is not really ‘mini’ as another user noted, but is indeed a compact mouse compared to what we could call ‘full-size’ gaming mice. I like the lightweight drag-free cord. It really works, but causes me to question its durability. When packing the mouse for travel, I will have to take care in wrapping the cord. I like the mock powder-coated matte black plastic exterior, which dominates the majority of its surface. I like the symmetrical, neutral design, which I believe is most versatile for adapting to any mouse-grip style. The mouse comes default with five DPI presets in the center button, maxing out at 6400 DPI. This irritated me because I did not want to install their privacy-violating cloud-based Synapse spyware (read their policy). I wanted to use this mouse at max DPI (8500). So, I installed it without any of their bullshit add-ons, adjusted the DPI presets and then disabled all Razer services in MSConfig as well as set custom filters in my firewalls to block all ins and outs on their for-profit data-mining operation for Google Analytics, et al. I may try uninstalling and deleting all Razer system files and registries and see if my presets still hold–that would be ideal. I hope this review helps you in choosing a good mouse for your needs. Long story short: Stay away from OMRON switches, do look into optical switched mice, screw Google, screw Razer for railroading users into their cloud control system, declare your independence and seek God with all your heart and mind (you’ll find Him); and if you don’t want to, pray for a new heart and a new mind that does want to — “And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.” (Psalm 9, verse 10).

– Amazing value for money with this mouse, really is. The cable is incredibly light and glides easily on a desk, never felt any cables so light but also sheathed. The mouse skates on this are huge so the mouse glides REALLY smoothly. The sensor works even with fast movements and in testing there was no mouse accel at any human achievable mouse speeds. The dpi switch button is a nice feature to have under the scroll wheel for quick changing. The mouse fits my 7 inch (measured finger tips to palm/wrist joint) right hand wonderfully for all grip styles I use when working or gaming. The looks on it are sleek, and it doesn’t show fingerprint marks at all.

Not sure why they decided to call it “Mini”, but it’s good. – I tend to be an overly thorough shopper on Amazon. For this purchase, I looked at hundreds of user reviews, dozens of mice, and looked at many pages of expert opinions and benchmark tests. It is honestly kind of a headache to deal with every time I buy something, but I do end up being well informed. My criteria were high value to cost ratio, improved ergonomics from a basic style mouse, excellent performance and at least 2 extra buttons with actual usable placement. I’ve had the Viper Mini for 7-8 months.

– I’m not against Razer nor am I for a lot of their products but this mouse is amazing, especially considering the pricetag. Simple, no nonsense fingertip mouse that is lightweight and small. I’ve tried countless mice including the superlight x, viper ultimate and aside from the gimmick wireless feature, you cant tell if there is a performance difference. In fact, the viper mini has a lower click latency than them both. Ultimately it will come down to comfort and grip but you’d be a fool to underestimate its value because of its price mark.
