– These are first and foremost headphones and a microphone, and in that capacity they’re genuinely impressive. As headphones, I have some more expensive Bose over-ears to compare with, and these sound better to me, particularly in the low-end. The surround sound capacity is also remarkable, but mileage will vary depending on the source. There’s a surround sound demo that’s incredible, but in programs that only output sound in stereo, it doesn’t make any difference. The microphone sound is very crisp and clear. I also have a pricey dedicated microphone (a Samson Meteor mic), and the G633 compares very favourably.

– Got this to replace my old Logitech G35 headset that I adored. Sadly it finally broke so I was forced to replace it. The G635 is nice and a bit better than I was expecting. The sound quality is a bit better although the 7.1 sounds a bit less impressive than on the G35 for some reason. Maybe I just need to dial that in. The overall sound quality is better here and listening to music and movies and playing games sounds fantastic. Comfort wise I found this to be too tight for my head. If you have a largish head you will find that it crushes your cranium for the first couple weeks. After a month or so I find it very comfortable as the foam cups have softened a bit in key areas around my ears. One thing I might have done in retrospect is tie some rubber bands(not too tight) to speed up the break in process. Overall I’m very happy with these.
