    – I bought these in November of 2020, and I was very happy with the quality of sound and the included DAC (if it could even be considered a DAC when it still output via USB to the headset itself). Mic quality and sound quality was good. Included software is alright, but the issue with these headphones is that they are notorious for cracking where the singular connection point from the metal joint into the plastic cup is found. It’s obviously not designed and manufactured well enough to continue living on through regular use and I’ve now cracked my second pair (after first was warrantied). Unfortunately they are not honoring any sort of warranty against obvious defects because the original 1yr warranty is up even though they’ve provided yet another pair of defective headphones.

Solid Headphones (small complaint) – These have been the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever owned and are well worth the money. I am in calls and gaming most of the day so these have been a lifesaver. I’ve owned them for about 2 years now and they are cracking between the plastic around the ears where they connect to the metal headband. With some super glue, I’ve been able to keep them still functional and working. I still recommend SteelSeries but be gentle with the products as you can. When I can no longer repair it with glue I will upgrade with another SS headset.

10mos, then 2yr review/update – A Fantastic Value to Performance Ratio! – 2 YEAR UPDATE! I just want to add something, as there are a lot of people complaining that the hinges are weak and that they break easily. There is a simple fix for that – don’t pull on the earcups when you put em on. Grab the metal band above the earcups, stretch it and put it on that way. I’ve had my Arctis Pro for 2yrs now and they are in excellent condition and the hinges are perfectly fine even tho I only started opening em this way recently. I bought the Arctis Pro + GameDAC around Black Friday 2018 for $200. I decided to give myself at least 6 months with them before writing a review. I mean you really can’t write a fair review of a headset on the day or 1st week you get them. I can now say that this is the best gaming headset I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning. I also currently have the Sony Platinum headset and previously the Astro A40, TB Stealth 700, HyperX Cloud Revolver, Sennheiser Game One, and a few others. The Arctis Pro is leagues ahead of all of them imo. The sound signature is not like most gaming headsets and is tuned a bit more neutral and not heavy on the bass as many gaming headsets are. That doesn’t mean there isn’t any bass, it’s very crisp and punchy but doesn’t distort or get muddy at higher volumes like lesser headsets would. It’s a much more natural sounding bass, not exaggerated the way a lot of headsets are these days. If you’re on PC though, you can realllly crank the bass up with their software if you want. It’s probably the easiest peripheral software I’ve used tbh.

Amazing headset – Before I start I’d like to point out that I’ve always had a bias for USB headsets and good value ones, and I did own an Arctis 5 so I am fairly biased.

Used for PS5 – A few things you have to mess with in the Sound Settings with the PS5 but once you get it Setup they Are Truly Worth it. Big Difference in sound. Gets Really Loud and Music Bumps hard too. Gotta spend some time Searching for some good EQ settings too. Overall Really enjoying the headset, Loud and Crisp. Only Gripe would be the Ear Cushions which are a bit uncomfortable/Firm, I ordered these Silky cloth Cooling gel one’s that are ten times more comfortable.
