Surprise! These are quite nice! – I have a lot of headphones around the house. Open back, closed-back, wireless, noise-canceling, in-ear monitors. Closed-back headphones are great for recording. Noise-canceling are great for listening to audiobooks, in-ear monitors are great for performing. My wife thinks I’m whacky for having so many headphones.

Looks and sounds great but there’s room for improvement – This RIG 400HX Gaming Headset measures 3.54″ x 7.87″ x 7.28″ and weighs about 7.5 ounces. This RIG 400HX Gaming Headset is constructed of plastic and has soft, comfortable mesh fabric covering the 40mm drivers.

I ended up buying the Xbox-branded headset from Microsoft – This headset isn’t horrible, but it’s not great. And certainly not great for long gaming sessions. The foam isn’t comfortable and the way you adjust the ear pieces is by popping them off and pressing them into a new slot. My right ear piece wasn’t perfectly manufactured, so it won’t stay in the slot and just falls off mid session. All in all, not comfortable.

Pretty good – This headset gets a solid 4 stars compared to much more expensive models. Removable boom mic is a plus. Pretty comfortable, even for my large head:) Not sure if I’m a huge fan of being hard wired to the console but it may grow on me.
