Low volume – I just received this today but before I purchased this I was using some regular Sony earphones with a mic, but it didn’t have a mute button or anything so it was pretty annoying to have to go into chat settings and manually mute the mic while I’m playing a game.. So, I initially got this for the flip to mute option (which is actually pretty great imo) and also because via other reviews I’ve read said, the sound quality is great. Well.. It is, however, it just sounds really low to me. I’ve maxed the volume on these headphones as well as maxed it on the PS4 settings and it’s still pretty low which is really unfortunate. I may have to use an amp which is a bummer because I just wanted to be able to plug it in and be able to use it, but it sucks that’s not the case with these.

Microphone gets a lot of background noise – Nice headset and a good price however the microphone picked up a lot of background noise and you could literally hear my ceiling fan as if you were sitting right up on it when was loud to others in game chat. Good price but you’d have to play in a silent room if you want to be in a chat group.

Great headset – This headset is super comfortable and the flip up mic and rotating cups make it super convenient. I suppose the set could use a slight bass boost but other than that they’re great.

A new stinger you didn’t know you needed! – Hyper X is no stranger to the headset world. Just for the ps4 alone they have many offerings for many different budgets and needs.

The mic part of the headset is very clear – The headphones ARE noise canceling but they volume isn’t so loud. But the mic quality redeems the headset, also it is compatible for the pc if you don’t have a pc headset at the time. The headphones never hurt my ears even after hours of gami9ng, they are very comfortable and are lightweight. Lastly the headphones are 3d quality so I can tell which side something is next to me making the games more immersive.

These are awesome until they aren’t! – First few weeks, these things were great. Then the problems started. I held off for a long time to test everything out before writing this review. I believe all the problems are in the 3.5 plug/wire. The sound will get all “robot” sounding. The mic will just stop working randomly. I’m overall really disappointed in these and that’s a dang shame!

Bought these for my brother, he seems to like them. – These headphones seem fine but with one minor annoyance. They didn’t come with a mic/headphone splitter cable for use on a PC.
