No lagging and tearing Steam games on Quest 2! – I set up the D-Link VR Air Bridge on my gaming desktop (wired ethernet) as well as a laptop on wifi so I could have more space in the living room. I have the Oculus (Meta) Quest 2 and have previously used a 5m (~15ft) USB-C to USB-C cable to play Steam games like Half-Life Alyx and Boneworks.

    2. C. A (verified owner)

Actually decent – I was skeptical but it actually worked pretty well. If your router is in the same room as your set up I wouldn’t bother. But me being away from my router this helped a ton. It runs just as well as when I use my cable.

Works well when it works. – Faulty cable came with. I have to plug the Air Bridge directly into my computer instead of the cord that came with. Even then, half the days I want to play my quest 2 it requires some trouble shooting for the bridge to work. Some days it works just fine.

    4. T. O (verified owner)

Wow! This item is essential for the Quest. – Unlock all the Steam catalog, and continue to play wirelessly as VR should be! I consider this item to be essential to unlock the most value out of your Quest experience.

Nice idea, but not quite there yet. – I bought this hoping for a more stable connection than my router, which I notice has occasional hiccups in the feed causing 1/4 second lag spikes. This dongle offers a more stable connection WHEN IT WORKS…but I have had numerous times where it would completely disconnect and reset, which would take about 2-3 minutes each time. Also, the signal is not very strong. On the opposite end of the room with my computer, I would get a Fair signal. Just outside the room, it goes to poor.

    6. Z. T (verified owner)

Incredibly consistent Airlink vs even a proper AX network. – I have a wifi 6 10gbps mesh network at my home that can run airlink at 200mbps 90% of the time with no issue. The problem however is that as all of my wireless devices are connected to this network there are moments where the network can become congested enough to cause airlink to lag for a few seconds.

It works but not perfectly – I currently live in an apartment and used the USB to my pc for playing games on VR which works great but I had a 15′ cord attached to my head. Tried using my wifi 6 router that everything else is on in a different room back when I got the quest 2 and it worked like crap super laggy. I bought this because I figured it connects straight to the PC and is like 3 feet away so I probably wouldn’t get so much interface. Well after a bit of messing around because this stuff never works great at first setting up I got it all setup and running. It works and it works great when it works, I do notice alot more lag spikes them with the wire which is annoying but not having a wire is the trade off. So for me I rather have a wireless experience with some occasional lag shutters then have a wire that I can trip on pulling on my head. I think when I get out of my apartment and upgrade my pc since it has a Nvidia 1070 I think alot of the shuttering will be gone. So in short it works fairly decent with some lag but wireless hope that helps.

It can work, but YMMV – I bought the air bridge for a couple of bucks less on Black Friday and while I was able to get it to work the first time, I could never get it to work properly after that. I would factory reset only for it to still generate preparation errors once it hit the 20% mark.
