Love it but hard to put together – Bought this as a Valentines present for my husband. He loves playing video games as a way to decompress but our son was getting ahold of the controller and headset. We needed something that would keep everything organized and harder to reach for a one year old.

Don’t Believe the Hype, This is Great! – For anyone with rudimentary knowledge of hand tools, this thing is great and fairly easy to put together. I used no tools other than those included in the box. My biggest pieces of advice are:

Hard to assemble, but very sturdy and clean looking – The product itself is very clean looking, and stable. However, assembling it was a pain. The plastic part between the two metal plates had to be screwed in and they were very tight. I had to actually hold one end of that plastic piece with my teeth, so that it doesn’t keep moving when I screw it. I also had to use my own personal screw driver to tighten it, as the provided L shaped wrench wasn’t easy to use.

If you only use the Allen Keys that come with the product, it’s possible but it will take you a while and cause some frustration. The rods in the middle are plastic (don’t know why they didn’t just make everything metal, saving money I guess) but the screws are metal so they don’t thread perfectly and who knows how long they’ll last. However, once you get the actual stand set up the rest is easy. It ends up looking pretty nice and sturdy.
