Great to listen to, Hard to stay comfortable. – I really wanted to write a five star review because I’ve been excited to finally get the penrose x and the sound is great. Unfortunately, even after I got the gel foam add on ear cushions and gel filling headband attachment, the headset is still very uncomfortable on top of the head after an hour or two in addition to the clamping pressure is too much even though I have a smaller than average head (7.25 in hat size)

– Now don’t get me wrong this isn’t a bad headset, the sound quality is good and you can hear background game noises than most headsets. As many reviews online have said the clamping force is a bit much but I am sure it will loosen over time and the mic quality is average. The one thing I just couldn’t get right was the bass on it and as there aren’t any presets you have to figure this out for yourself. The connection quality wasn’t great at times however I found this was mainly after you just turn it on as after prolonged sessions it didn’t seem to drop. I’m sure with updates this headset will get better but for now I have returned them and continued using my Turtle Beach Stealth 700 gen 2. Again this is not a bad headset but for value, bass and comfort the TB was just a better all around product in my opinion.
