ABOUT ROG RX RED SWITCH – Linear and Swift, ROG RX Red Optical Mechanical Switches are the first to be developed by ROG. Extensive research, testing and fine-tuning have resulted in switches with a 1.5mm actuation point for lightning-fast inputs. An initial force of 40g prevents accidental keystrokes, and goes all the way up to 55g for perfect rebound feedback. ROG RX Red switches provide a smooth and linear feel to give you near instantaneous response the moment you strike the key.

The software provided by Asus, known as “armory,” simply put worked the first day I installed it, but no longer works. The armory software lets you change light settings with the keyboard, amongst other things, and other than it not working w/ no amount of tinkering or problem solving, would be my only gripe.

Despite what people are saying about the Armor Crate software, I didn’t have any issues setting up the keyboard. I was able to quickly create and save some custom profiles. As a keyboard guy, Im really impressed! Looking forward to the next iterations from Asus.
